LF: Virtual Marketing Assistant

I'm looking for an experienced Virtual Assistant to help me organize and complete a variety of projects. The ideal candidate has the following skills and qualities.

* Knowledge and experience surfing the Internet and doing online research
* Ability to write and speak American English (using proper English spelling and grammar)

* Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel
* some HTML knowledge
* ability to THINK things through and figure out what needs to be done next, then do it
* Familiarity with search engines and other online tools
* Ability to communicate via email and Internet phone service (skype)
* Directions will be given, but the ability to work independently is very important important
* Ability to meet deadlines
* be professional in presentation and interaction with employees, clients, and visitors
* have a "can do" attitude as well as a "team" attitude
* be detail-oriented
* be flexible and know how to adapt to changing priorities

These are the types of things you'll be doing:

* document editing -- take an ebook written in MS Word and format it (headings, bold, add graphics, etc.), then create a PDF from it

* work with Webmaster/graphics people to get an ebook cover created for it

* Respond to customer or visitor questions (Customer help desk)
* create an ebook out of articles
* edit audio transcriptions
* Find articles about a certain subject, write a brief article summary, post summary and link back to the article
* Moderate blog and forum posts
* create article requests (using Excel) that I can send to my team of writers, which they will use to write the articles we need for various websites
* receive and track incoming articles (we have an article tracking system to help with this)
* insure that all articles get posted to appropriate websites
* submit press releases
* respond to voice mail messages from visitors
* Handle customer questions via email and phone (help desk)
* Create FAQ documents based on visitor/customer questions
* manage link building projects
* Web 2.0 / blogging / social networking for the purpose of traffic generation
* whatever internet marketing tasks that come up

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related online work experience and/or business school training; or an equivalent combination of education and related online work experience.
